What ECU data do we alter?

With all the ECU upgrades, the minimum number of parameters that are changed are as follows -

Turbo pressure (On turbocharged cars)
Ignition timing
Fuelling
Speed limiter (where possible)
RPM limiter (if required)

Our ECU upgrades are developed by RICA who are specialists in tuning Volvos for over 20 years. There are many parameters altered in the engine management system to ensure that the engine is running at maximum efficiency. The diesel ECU upgrade offers smoke free performance that no tuning box upgrade can, and is ideal for towing. All the upgrades are 100% service compliant. For the 1999 and later models, ECU upgrades are done through the OBDII diagnostics port. The car is simply plugged into our system and the ECU is reprogrammed without removing it.
Please note - we do not have any upgrades available for the very old models such as the 440, 480, 700 and 900 series.

* The 280 bhp upgrade is designed to run on 95 RON, and is a milder upgrade for older cars with higher mileage.
