P & T Automotive Services make motoring easy and guilt-free!

With news of ecological crises rarely out of the headlines, motorists
and under increasing pressure to do all they can to make their motoring
have less detrimental impact on the environment.

Macclesfield's P&T Automotive Services have been helping motorists do
just that since 1999 when they opened their doors as LPG conversions
specialists. However, Partner Peter Trueman had been experimenting with
conversions to LPG long before global warming was a familiar term.

"In 1969 I decided to make my own equipment and convert my car to LPG",
said Peter. "Now we're converting around 3 vehicles a week wanting to
make a positive contribution to the flight against climate change".

The company is not only LPGA Approved, but are also full members of the
organisation, and can expertly convert any vehicle running from petrol
engine to LPG - a fuel that is much cleaner than petrol and offers
considerable economical savings.

Peter works alongside Timothy Hoggard, the other partner in the company,
and between them they brought extensive experience of the motor industry
to the business. Timothy had been the proprietor of a busy MOT testing
business and general garage whilst Peter, as well as having an existing
knowledge of LPG conversion, had been involved for many years with the
classic and vintage side of motor trade.

Their diverse backgrounds continue to benefit the business as P&T
Automotive Services also offer general garage service and repair work,
as well as preparing vehicles for MOT tests and are experts in vehicle
air conditioning servicing and repairs.

P&T Automotive Services have a team of five full time, and one part
time, staff who work with companies' customer base of both corporate and
private customers with a large percentage of the conversion customers
being taxi drivers and 4x4 drivers.

Even though media coverage of environmental concerns continues to grow
Peter feels that the government is not doing enough to promote the
benefits of LPG to the world's well being of the motorist's pocket.

Even though the financial benefits of converting to LPG are huge we feel
the public at large are not fully aware of the cost benefits due to
often misleading press coverage of other fuels such as bio diesel etc.

"However, when petrol prices go up I can guarantee our phone will start
ringing off the hook!" said Peter.
