Everyone using a vehicle on the road is legally required to keep it in a roadworthy condition.

The first MOT test is required once a car is three years old, and annually thereafter.

The MOT looks at important items to see if it meets the legal requirements. You should be aware that the MOT certificate is not a guarantee of the general mechanical condition of a vehicle.

We are an Approved MOT Station by the Vehicle Inspectorate and charge the current statutory fee of £40.75 for petrol and diesel cars.

We are also authorised to test Hackney Carriage cars (Please see Compliance Testing for further details).

The MOT scheme is primarily a road safety measure designed to ensure as far as possible that all vehicles more than 3 years old are well maintained and at least once a year examined at an authorised MOT test station to make sure that they comply with certain important safety and environmental requirements.

The test is conducted in our equipped and purpose built test bay where we also have a customer viewing area.

All of our MOT Testers are approved by the Vehicle Inspectorate and their competence to test is checked regularly.

NB. An MOT is NOT a Guarantee for the condition of your vehicle. All items inspected are strictly as per the VT30 check list.
